CHARLIE PERSSON: Nattåg till Arkadien
Mitt i Bröllopsyra och sydafrikanska fotbollar så dyker Charlie Perssons nya singel "Nattåg till Arkadien" upp på er musikportal.
Precis i detta nu faktiskt. Detta är första singeln från kommande album "Lejon och lamm".
Charlie beskriver själv låten och hela plattan som:
- Min tanke med den här plattan var att göra en enkel rockplatta. Som om Mink DeVille kompat Wilmer X. Ungefär.
Charlie Persson brukar beskrivas som en av musiksveriges största hemligheter. Och så kanske det har varit.
Under 2009/2010 har det dock varit annorlunda. En turné om c:a 50 spelningar har avverkats. Och låtar har skrivits. Massor av låtar.
Bla Linda Ströms "Ingen väg ut", Cookies n Beans "Kings and queens", Jörgen Kjellgrens "Han har gjort det igen" och Charlotte Bergs "Gillian Welch på repeat".
Och inte minst två skivor till sig själv.

TESA JAMES: Beautiful / Cinderella shoes / Crazy little lady / Live and learn
Tesa James, a southern girl at heart whose vocals were heavily influenced by a variety of top-selling artists, including The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Garth Brooks, The Judds, Enya and Guns ‘N Roses, has tickled the ear of producer Ted Perlman, whose impressive resume constitutes reasonable evidence that he knows a star when he sees one – or hears one.
Ted Perlman is the Grammy award-winning producer who has produced, arranged, recorded and toured with an endless roster of major artists, including Whitney Houston, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, CeCe Winans, Natalie Cole and Frank Sinatra Jr., just to name a few.
He has been involved in Major Motion Pictures starring Adam Sandler, Diane Keaton, Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell as well as many television shows such as the hit Fox Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television series The Shield, starring Emmy winner Michael Chiklis.
Perlman is also well known as one of the producers behind such mega brands as Mercedes Benz, Coca-Cola, Budweiser, McDonald’s, Burger King and Carl’s Jr. (a gourmet burger joint infamous for their provocative, controversial and often offensive campaign ads starring Paris Hilton, Hugh Hefner and Kim Kardashian).
His songs have been featured on Good Morning America, The Late Show, The Today Show, the MLB World Series and the NFL Superbowl.
Perlman is currently producing James’ debut album, which has been mostly recorded in California’s Ranch Studio along with singer, songwriter and actress, Peggi Blu, whose famous background vocals have lent themselves to the likes of Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, Tracy Chapman, Kylie Minogue, Aaron Neville, and has appeared on ten platinum-selling albums.
Other contributors include Teri Wood, who is known for her work on the mega-blockbuster smash hit, Avatar, and professional violinist extraordinaire, Eliza James, who will be adding her flavor of country and rock to the album as well.

ART GOMPERZ BAND: A different sory to tell
Every once in a yellow moon a new CD will be released that represents what a music genre is all about. Well The Art Gomperz Band featuring Jenna Mammina has just released one of those new albums. This band is fresh sounding. Their instrumental chops are clean and they have come up with some very cool licks on this CD. Now their front person Jenna Mammina is someone the Bluegrass community will soon be getting very excited about. She sings with confidence and her voice is sent from Bluegrass, Roots/Americana Country heaven. "A Different Story to Tell" features a splendid assortment of song styles, from Country to Bluegrass sprinkled with a bit of Folk and Americana. PAT GARRETT: Stick your oil
Country singer/songwriter Pat Garrett, recently nominated for the entertainment category in this year's Reading Eagle Pinnacle of Berks series along with Shorty Long, Pat's former legendary band leader, and Taylor Swift who started with Pat's band, has family ties to entrepreneurs in the cosmetics business with a possible solution to the oil spill crisis.
Garrett is married to vocalist Suzy Dalton, whose father Dr Peter T. Pugliese, and brother, Steven Pugliese, CEO of AST, Inc, based in Pennsylvania, have a product in headline news they feel is a remedy to help clean up the millions of gallons of oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico. Made of beeswax, the product, called PRP, is extremely efffective, simple to use, and "green". LAURA WAGNER: Cartoon life
Laura Wagner-why is she here? Because of her inability to get on the right freeway when attempting to hitch hike from Chicago to NY at 16. She formed her first band after meeting a keyboard player shortly after winding up in Berkeley. Several years and bands later she was on the verge of a break out… performing, writing and doing session work with many bands, including Zelda Apollo [with legendary George Cole], phenomenal guitarist Garth Webber[Miles Davis, Allman Brothers, Robben Ford], The White Trash Debutantes [Ginger Coyote!], Eddie Money, Cold Blood, Tommy Castro, Jules Broussard, the late Rick Kellogg/Norton Buffalo, luminaries Jean Carn, The Chambers Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Baez, Jon Hendricks and many others. Laura has also shared the stage with comediennes Margaret Cho and Judy Tenuta. A die hard Giants' fan, she has performed the National Anthem at several games with over 50,000 people in the stands |

Joey is 22 years old and a rising country star. She is already way ahead of the game with what she has accomplished, as a recording artist, a songwriter and a performer. She has been blessed with a powerful and sophisticated singing voice and self-confident stage presence that gives her the opportunity to make a name for herself in some of the hottest country venues. With her vocal approach and complex textures and the ability to belt out power notes (as the music commands)it gives her the ability to be versatile enough to have crossover appeal in the blues, rock and pop venues as well. Having been raised to appreciate all types of music Joey finds her home to be in country music. Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, John Foggerty, Vern Gosdin and Elvis Presley are just a few of Joeys influences that have had an impact on Joeys performances. Joey was born in Waukegan, Illinois and raised near a very small community called Jarbalo in Kansas. She is lucky enough to have the support of her loving and devoted family. Both her parents are musical so they weren’t surprised that at the age of 4, she told them that she wanted to pursue ,a singing career. Her mother, Judy, and father, Jim, recognized the natural talent and ambition that she has and have been behind her every step of the way. Joey believes in strong communities and family values so she has become a spokesperson for the D.A.R.E. program, performing for more than ten thousand children each year. She most recently has been speaking out for the SADD program and headlined for the Veterans Day celebration concert for SADD in Beloit, Kansas on November 10, 2006. Joey, being the daughter of a retired military veteran, holds a very special place in her heart for our veterans both here and abroad. She has performed at many military bases singing to thousands to show support for those who have served in the past and those who are serving now. She has also worked with the VFW for events on Memorial Day and on Veterans Day. Most recently Joey joined forces with an organization called Flowers For Heroes. This organization is for Gold Star Families or families of fallen heroes. She is very proud to be the official artist for the cause. Joey was invited to serve as a judge for the Colgate Country Showdown on several occasions because of her involvement in the business. She considered this an honor. She was requested to perform for Kansas Days in Topeka , Kansas playing for many of the states representatives and was a favorite of many. Through the years, Joey has had numerous radio interviews throughout the U.S. and has current podcasts to be heard. She has had many magazine articles and interviews for magazines such as New Music Weekly Magazine and newspapers such as the Kansas City Star. She has also recieved numerous awards and recognitions in here career. Joey was signed to an indie label in Nashville in November of 2004 and brought in to record her first album in January of 2005 at 16 years old and the album was released that following June. Joey has also performed at the CRS, CMA Festival (each year), Tootsies big room on more than one occasion (her first album release was here), the Bluegrass Inn, Rippys, Coyote Ugly, Nashville Palace and Wyndom Resorts in Nashville to name a few. Joey has been priveledged enough to have graced the same stage as Montgomery Gentry, Chely Wright, She Daisy, Ty Englund, Asleep at The Wheel and Andy Griggs along with numerous other icons. Joey is a member of BMI and is currently with KMA Records in Nashville. She completed her debut solo album and worked with such players as Paul Franklin, former ACM musician of the year and the current ACM musician of the year, Mike Johnson as well as Cactus Moser of Highway 101. The album was recorded at Main Frame studios in Nashville and she was in good company here because artists such as Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley and The Dixie Chicks also recorded here. The writers of this album were all award winners such as Frank J. Myers. Joeys Debut album, "Driven By Emotion " is currently available on Reverbnation, CD Baby and on all other download spots. Her debut single "I Need A Man" hit the airwaves and climbed the NMW charts to 8 and hit the Music Row charts .
